Patty Thomas, 79, of Cumming, passed away Monday, July 2, 2012. She was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, where she served as a trustee.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Roddy E. Thomas, of Cumming; children, Rick Thomas (Jenny Trautman), of Atlanta, Teresa Ivory (Ed Rishmawy), of King of Prussia, Pa., Andrea (John W. Jr.) Teate, of Salem, S.C., Julie (Dave) Grantier, of Cumming, Ga.; sister, Janice Rychen; grandchildren, Jill Anderson, Leah Calvert, April Anderson, Leslie Drury, David Rice and Benjamin Grantier; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Memorial services will be held Friday, July 6, at 11 a.m. at Macedonia United Methodist Church, 2415 Holbrook Campground Road, Alpharetta, Ga. 30004, with Dr. Sam Newman officiating. The family received friends at Macedonia United Methodist Church on Friday from 8:30 a.m. until hour of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Macedonia United Methodist Church, 2415 Holbrook Campground Road, Alpharetta, Ga. 30004.
