The Clayton News Daily is your newspaper.
A newspaper truly belongs to its community.
If it doesn’t, it should.
No, you don’t have to buy the ink and rolls of newsprint, but in all the ways that matter most, the paper belongs to you.
A community newspaper should be, must be, all about community.
We are going to cover the hard news. That’s a given.
We are going to hold public officials accountable, to be sure.
However, we care about the community in many other ways as well.
It is ever our endeavor at the Clayton News Daily to celebrate our county, and especially, our young people.
We want to tell your stories, champion your causes and highlight your successes.
We want to be a part of your events and help promote your organizations.
We care about your churches, your clubs and your agencies.
As school begins we want to help showcase things such as “show-and-tell day,” join you for the 100th day of school or just come see how hard your boys and girls are working in class on any given day.
Little league, T-ball, fishing on a lazy afternoon, church socials and a plethora of other community events are all a part of being a part of a community and therefore should all be a part of being a community newspaper.
Obviously, we cannot be everywhere all the time, but with your partnership we can be in more places and share your stories and pictures with more people.
We want you to be a part of us just as we hope to be a part of all of you.
Share your news and events.
Share your photographs.
We will then share them with the community in the pages of the Clayton News Daily.
Have a picture of your child with the first fish ever caught? Share it.
Have information regarding the last meeting of your civic organization and maybe a photo of the speaker? Share it.
Are you a teacher really proud of the classroom project your students just completed? Share it.
Is your church circle preparing meals to take to people who may be in need or unable to leave their homes? Please do share.
You share with us and we will share with others.
