Mrs. Marsha Laneve Bullard Stone, 60, of Jonesboro, passed away on July 28, 2012.
Marsha was born in Homerville, to William L. (Bill) and Mary (Dade) Bullard on Aug. 20, 1951. She grew up in Cascade Heights and attended Therrell High School in Atlanta. She went on to open and operate hair salons in Riverdale and Fayetteville. She worked as a hair stylist for 38 years. Marsha enjoyed billiards, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father, Bill Bullard; mother-in-law, Mae Stone; father-in-law, Harry Stone; and brother-in-law, Ron Stone. Marsha is survived by her loving husband of more than 43 years, Mike Stone of Jonesboro; son Mickey (Cathy), of Lawrenceville; son Matt, of Concord; grandchildren Dustin, Jeffrey, and Holly Stone, of Lawrenceville; Matthew, Kersey and Maegan Stone, of Concord; mother Dade Bullard, of Jonesboro; sister Mary Abernathy (Ernie), of Alpharetta; sister-in-law Harriett McLeran, of Buford; nephews Bill Beldon (Rhonda), of Buford; Rocky Stone (Lauren), of Alpharetta; Scott Sherard (Cretia), of Lawrenceville; Tripp Abernathy, of Alpharetta; niece Shelby Stone, of Alpharetta and many cousins, great-nephews and great-nieces.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 31, at noon in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park, Jonesboro. Visitation was held Monday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society, 301 Kelly Drive, Suite #3, Peachtree City, Ga. 30269.
