All right, cat and dog lovers, the date has finally arrived for Quilts & Fixins’ annual Clayton County Humane Society Quilt Sale Fund-raiser.
The event is slated to run today, from 9 a.m., to 5 p.m., at Quilts & Fixins, which is located at 7986 North Main Street, in Jonesboro. The store’s owner, Jeanne Lowery, said hundreds of items — ranging from quilts, to bags, to clothing, to napkins and table cloths — have been made by a local army of quilters specifically for this event.
“I’d say we have in excess of 300 items available for people to buy,” she said.
Proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Clayton County Humane Society, to help the group cover its operating expenses. Call (770) 472-0015 for more information.
