Man injured after losing control of motorcycle

A McDonough man was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center on Wednesday, after losing control of his motorcycle and slamming into a tree.

McDonough Police and first responders with Henry County Fire Department attended to the man they found lying beneath the vehicle at around 10:11 a.m.

Police Chief Preston Dorsey quoted from an incident report that the man was negotiating a curve along Hampton Street in downtown McDonough, when he ran off the roadway and stuck a tree.

Dorsey said the man suffered lacerations to his face and body.
