Taylor Jorgensen, William Plemons III, Mason Massey and Buddy Brewer followed the same script in Week 2 of Thursday Thunder at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

The drivers dominated on the quarter-mile track to make a second straight appearance in victory lane after two weeks of racing.

“Any time you win at AMS, it gives you a ton of confidence,” said Massey, who took his second checkered flag in the Pro division.

While posing for post-race pictures in victory lane, Jorgensen, a Stockbridge native held up two fingers to signify her second straight win.

The rising junior at Union Grove High won a hard fought race where she worked her way into first place on the eighth lap. She traded the lead for several laps with Tyler Lester but solidified herself in lap 14 to take home the checkered flag.

“It was hard, but I hung in there and tried to avoid the things that I needed to avoid,” Taylor Jorgenson said.

The second week was also good to AMS president Ed Clark, who picked up his second career win at Thursday Thunder in the Masters division.

Plemons, who was two points away from the Semi-pro division last season, has won in the first two weeks this season. He returned to racing in 2010 after a nearly 10-year hiatus from the track.

Since his return, Plemons has finished in first or second in each of the seasons in overall points.

Brewer, who was runner-up in the Buzz Cars division, has won the last three races in Thursday Thunder, dating back to last season.
