Willie Fred Easterwood, Jr., a.k.a. Chip, 57, of Ellenwood, died June 16, 2012, at his home. Chip was born in Douglasville, to the late Willie Fred Easterwood, Sr., and Eula Mae Easterwood. He has been a lifelong Georgia resident. Chip was a self-employed automotive mechanic. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and furniture making. He especially enjoyed fishing at West Point Lake. He will be dearly missed.
Chip is survived by his wife of 35 years, Alecia Easterwood; son, Adam Easterwood; daughter, Jamie Easterwood; three grandchildren, Zachary Easterwood, Cayden Easterwood, Logan Easterwood; four sisters, Drena Evans, Lucy Tatum, Sandra Easterwood, Shirley McQuistion; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be offered on Sunday, June 24, at 4 p.m. at the First Christian Church of Jonesboro, 2272 Walt Stephens Road, Jonesboro, Ga. 30236. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made out to the First Christian Church of Jonesboro for the Eastwood family to help alleviate funeral expenses.
