Mr. Jackie “Jack” Edward Caudle, 84, of Jonesboro, passed away, June 26, 2012. He was born April 12, 1928, in Oneonta, Ala., to the late Derow and Elizabeth Caudle. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as an SMSGT, and retired from the Atlanta Federal Penitentiary. He loved to make walking sticks and to give them away. Many people in the Jonesboro area owe their walking sticks to him. He never knew a stranger and was generous to all.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Jan; children, Pamela (Bill) Ward, of Griffin, Jack E., Jr. (Teresa) Caudle of Alabama, Beverly Caudle, of Atlanta, Sandra (Jett) Alexander, of Jackson; brother, Raymon (Kathleen) Caudle; sister, Sarah Vaughn; grandchildren, Greg Ward, Rachel Alexander, Matt Alexander and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 29, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., at the funeral home. No service is planned.
