Fourth of July celebrations set in Clayton

JONESBORO — Clayton News Daily offices will be closed Wednesday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. Offices will reopen Thursday, July 5. Federal, state and non public safety-related county offices will also be closed July 4 but they will reopen July 5.

People looking for Fourth of July activities have a few options this week. These activities include:

• Morrow’s FreedomFest, Saturday, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., at 5917 Reynolds Road, Morrow.

• Jonesboro Masonic Lodge’s annual Fourth of July Parade Wednesday at 10 a.m. on Jonesboro’s Main Street.

• Atlanta Motor Speedway’s “Racing and Fireworks” Wednesday beginning at 6 p.m. Admission is $6 for adults, $2 for children and free for youngsters under 5.

• Clayton County Parks and Recreation’s Fourth of July Celebration July 7 from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Clayton County International Beach, 2300 Ga. Hwy. 138, Jonesboro. Admission is $10 per person.

....I didn't see a report of the gatherings & celebrations at Oscar's Resort in Clayton County !!!!

....Oscar's Resort has been celebrating The 4th of July since 1984, upon its opening.
