Clayton County residents are being encouraged to participate in a state-wide public comment period on Georgia’s “Babies Can’t Wait” funding-grant application.
The $14.4 million federal funding application is on view until April 10 for public inspection, on the Georgia Department of Public Health’s web site, http://health.state.ga.us/. “Babies Can’t Wait” is a state early-intervention program designed to provide assistance to infants and toddlers with special needs, as well as their families, according to the Department of Public Health.
The Clayton County Board of Health also has put it on display at each of the county’s six library branches.
Those branches are: The Headquarters Branch (865 Battle Creek Road, in Jonesboro); the Forest Park Branch (696 Main St., in Forest Park); the Jonesboro Branch (124 Smith St., in Jonesboro); the Lovejoy Branch (1721 McDonough Road, in Lovejoy); the Morrow Branch (6225 Maddox Road, in Morrow), and the Riverdale Branch (420 Valley Hill Road, in Riverdale).
