Mr. William Shank, Jr.
Mr. William Shank, Jr., 68, of Molena, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Emory Midtown Hospital. Mr. Shank was born Feb. 24, 1944, in East Point, Ga. He was the son of the late William Shank, Sr., and Martha Hatch Shank.
He retired from Clayton County after many years of faithful service as a fleet mechanic, where he kept the fire trucks in top shape. Mr. Shank, along with his wife, volunteered with the Pike County School System. He was known as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father, William Shank, Sr., and a brother, Curtis Shank.
Survivors include his wife, Paula Shank; daughters and son-in-law, Lori Shank, Katherine Shank, and Garrett Stevens; his beloved grandchildren, William Carter Stevens and Isabella Juliann Stevens; mother, Martha E. Shank; brother, Robert Shank, sister, Martha Shank, II; nieces, nephews and other family members.
Funeral services for Mr. William Shank, Jr., will be held on Tuesday, March 13, at 11a.m., in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Friends visited the family on Monday, March 12, from 6 p.m., to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
