Pamela Carole Moss, the 54-year-old woman accused of killing Stockbridge businessman William “Doug” Coker, has been formally charged with felony murder.
In her first court appearance before Jones County Magistrate Court Judge Penny Mazolla, Moss was denied bond.
Jones County Sheriff Butch Reece said he believes the cause of death was blunt force trauma.
“We’re confident we have the right person in custody, because all of the evidence at her residence, where the body was found, totally leads to her,” Reece said.
Visitation services for Coker are Saturday, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., at Haisten Funeral Home, at 1745 South Zack Hinton Parkway South, in McDonough, and a memorial service is Sunday, at 5 p.m., at Shingleroof Campground, in McDonough.
