A Henry County company is set to provide support to the U.S. Armed Forces over the next five years, as a result of a lucrative contract.
Parts and Repair Technical Services, Inc. (P.A.R.T.S. Inc.), of Stockbridge, will provide supplies, component maintenance, and Task Order support for technical services, and other support services for roughly $975 million worth of military hardware.
The privately-owned company specializes in materials procurement, training, technical services, logistic support, and export services. Michael Caudill is the vice president of logistics for P.A.R.T.S. Inc., which is located at 210 Andrew Drive, and also has offices in Warner Robins and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The company provides support for military aircraft.
Caudill said the military-service contract is significant for his company. “We’re a small business, but with the size of this contract being just under a billion dollars, it moves us into a different arena,” said Caudill. “Within the next 60 days, we will be hiring between five to 10 employees in direct support of this contract.”
S&K Aerospace, headquartered in Montana, is the primary contractor for the endeavor, officials said. That company will be responsible for a Parts and Repair Ordering System (PROS) IV Program from the Air Force Security Assistance Center of the United States Air Force.
S&K Aerospace LLC is a subsidiary of S&K Technologies, Inc., a federally chartered corporation owned by the Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Nation. The company is headquartered on the Flathead Reservation in St. Ignatius, Mont., and operates throughout the United States, as well as in Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), of Fairfax Va., is also included in the contract, which will offer Tri-Service support to Air Force, Army and Navy Foreign Military Sales customers in more than 80 countries. GDIT manages large-scale, mission-critical programs, delivers enterprise information-technology solutions, and provides mission support services, according to company officials.
