Joan Sylvia Beck, 68, of McDonough, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012. She was born in Atlanta, to Theodore Moses and Opal Doris Story Munn. A member of Bible Baptist Church in Hampton, Mrs. Beck was a teacher with the Clayton County Board of Education. She held a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s in Education and had attained an EDS from Georgia State University.

Mrs. Beck is survived by husband, Edward Tucker Bobo Beck, their children, Barbara (Andy) Beadles, Lisa (Darrell) McKibbon, Jodi (Mark) Cowart, Scott (Carrie) Beck, Nathan (Kathy) Beck, and Bobo Beck; her sister, Sherry Munn; and her grandchildren, Brad, Brent, and Bryson Beadles; Tucker, Mason and Conner McKibbon; Myles Cowart; Landon, Lindsay and Lacie Beck, and Collin, Caden and Kate Beck.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, May 6, at Bible Baptist Church, with the Rev. Norman Pyle and the Rev. Bill Griffin, officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
