Mundy’s Mill senior Kori Hunter became the school’s first soccer player to sign a college scholarship.
Last week, Hunter signed to attend South Carolina-Salkehatchie, a junior college located in Allendale. While at Mundy’s Mill, she played multiple positions, including forward, midfielder, and sweeper. This season, Hunter scored nine goals in 13 games.
She was selected to the all-region team.
“It was an honor to coach Kori these past two years,” Mundy’s Mill coach Julius Omotayo said. “She always displayed a positive attitude towards her coaches, opponents, and teammates. Kori was also a leader on and off the field; and her presence will be deeply missed.”
