A visit to a McDonough restaurant turned deadly for a Macon teenager.
Henry County Fire Department responded to a emergency medical call Saturday at 6:48 p.m., at the Golden Corral located at 1755 Jonesboro Road, according to Henry County Fire Capt. Sabrina Puckett.
Diallo Robbins Brinson, 15, was eating at the Golden Corral restaurant, with family and friends before going into cardiac arrest.
The Director of Henry County 911 and Emergency Management Agency Don Ash said the call came in as an allergic reaction.
“When my office was notified by a nurse at Scottish Rite she told me [Brinson] was eating a macadamia nut at the Golden Corral and had an allergic reaction and went into cardiac arrest,” said Henry County Coroner Donald Cleveland. “He was transported to Piedmont Henry Hospital and later that night was transported to Children’s Health Care of Atlanta at Scottish Rite.”
Cleveland said he was told Brinson died on Monday morning while at Scottish Rite hospital.
