Linda Malcom Lycett, 62, of McDonough, passed away to be with her Lord on Nov. 7, 2012. A retired teacher of the gifted from the Clayton County school system, Linda also taught 4-year-old Sunday School classes for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Malcom.
Linda is survived by her husband, Paul W. Lycett, of McDonough; her daughters, Mary Beth and Kirby Smart, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Anne and Michael Toothaker, of Alpharetta; her beloved grandchildren, Jane Toothaker and Weston, Julia and Andrew Smart; her mother, Mardelle Malcom, of McDonough; her sisters, Diane West, of Cumming; and Judy Johnston, of Hampton; and her brother, George Malcom, of Social Circle.
A memorial service for Linda will be held at Salem Baptist Church in McDonough, at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 11, with Dr. Steve Bingham and Rev. Dan McKay officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., at the funeral home and again at the church one hour prior to the memorial service.
