RIVERDALE — Clayton County police have arrested a male nurse for allegedly groping a female patient’s breast Sept. 24.
Michael Tramaine McClendon appeared in Clayton County Magistrate Court Wednesday before Judge Richard Brown.
McClendon, 28, was arrested Tuesday and charged with sexual assault against a person who is in the care or custody of another, regardless of consent.
The female victim was a patient at Riverwoods Behavioral Health Hospital where McClendon was a certified nurse’s assistant.
Police said the victim accused McClendon of fondling her breasts without her consent. McClendon reportedly didn't deny the allegation but said the woman encouraged it.
During a voluntary interview Nov. 6, McClendon reportedly told police that patient made sexual comments to him.
Brown set a $5,000 bond.
If convicted, McClendon could go to prison for up to 30 years.
