Mecca Sneed and Morgan Jones scored 11 points each to lead Woodland to a 53-46 win over Griffin on Tuesday.

With the win, the Lady Wolfpack improved to 4-1 overall while Griffin dropped to 0-3.

The Lady Bears were led by Shatoria Jones, who finished with 12 points.

Carver-Atlanta 76, Morrow 67 (2OT)

Despite 23 points from Rhein Beamon and Ditara Pack’s 19 points, the Lady Mustangs lost for the third straight time to start the season.

Deja Jackson added 18 points for Morrow.

Riverdale 50, Eagle’s Landing 27

Kyra Brooks scored seven points, but it wasn’t enough as the visiting Lady Golden Eagles dropped their season-opener.

Spalding 53, Locust Grove 35

Sabiyah Broderick had 12 points despite the loss. The Lady Wildcats are 0-3 overall heading into next week’s game against Upson-Lee.

BOYS

Eagle’s Landing 57, Riverdale 50

Isaiah Dennis had 18 points and Eric Wortham scored 13 to lead the Golden Eagles to the win in their season opener.

Chris Davenport added 11 points for the Golden Eagles, who are coming off consecutive seasons with a trip to the state semifinals.

The Golden Eagles host North Clayton on Friday.

North Clayton 70, Dutchtown 64

Stafan Bradley scored 19 points and teammate Devin Lewis added 17 as the Eagles got their first win of the season.

North Clayton improved to 1-1 heading into Friday’s game at Eagle’s Landing.

Dutchtown got a game-high 21 points from Andre Reid, Jr.

Mount Zion 61, Northgate 34

Jacksonville signee J.R. Holder scored 30 points and dished out seven assists as the Bulldogs improved to 5-0 on the season.

Cody Simmons added 19 points and 18 rebounds for the Bulldogs. The win eclipsed the Bulldogs win total from last season when they finished 4-22 overall.

Whitewater 70, Ola 51

Andrew Caldwell and Malik Smith scored 12 points each for Ola. Okafa Charles added 10 points as the Mustangs dropped to 1-3 overall.

Morrow 66, Carver-Atlanta 50

The Mustangs improved to 3-0 under first-year coach Creswell Foy.

Demarkus Loman scored 17 points to lead the Mustangs, who take on Grady on Friday.

Griffin 50, Woodland 22

Darrow Ramsey and Rafael Jones scored five points each despite the Wolfpack loss.

The Bears were led by Tae Mayes, who had 10 points.

Spalding 69, Locust Grove 28

Markee Dickerson scored a game-high 14 points to lead the Jaguars.

Javon Harris and Cameron Clayton scored six points each for Locust Grove.
