Marist at Stockbridge

When, where: Today, 7:30 p.m. at Tiger Stadium in Stockbridge

Records, seeding: Marist is 11-1 and the No. 1 seed from Region 6-AAAA; Stockbridge is 11-1 and the No. 1 seed from Region 4-AAAA.

Scouting report: Stockbridge is 0-6 against Marist, all coming during regular season games in the mid-1990s. Kevin Whitley is 0-1 against Marist with his former team Creekside losing in the 2006 quarterfinals. As a program, Marist has won 77 playoff games since 1978. Marist was ranked No. 2 in the final Associated Press regular season poll. This is the second time this season that the Tigers have faced a teamranked second in the state.

What’s next: Winner plays the Mary Person-Ridgeland winner in the semifinals.

Savannah Christian at ELCA

When, where: Today, 7:30 p.m. at Commitment Field in McDonough

Records, seeding: Savannah Christian is 8-3 and the No. 7 seed; ELCA is 10-1 and the No. 2 seed.

Scouting report: In the last five seasons, Savannah Christian has won double digit games and played in the last three state finals. The Raiders run a triple-option offensive attack. Raiders senior Jalen Myrick, a state champion sprinter, has committed to play football at Minnesota. In their win over Holy Innocents’ last week, the Raiders amassed 272 yards on the ground on 53 carries. Myrick had 70 yards rushing on five carries, including a 17-yard touchdown run.

What’s next: Winner plays the Walker-George Walton winner in the semifinals.

North Gwinnett at Lovejoy

When, where: Today, 7:30 p.m. at Twelve Oaks Stadium in Hampton

Records, seeding: North Gwinnett is 11-1 and the No. 2 seed from Region 7-AAAAAA; Lovejoy is 11-1 and the No. 1 seed from Region 2-AAAAAA.

Scouting report: The teams have a common opponent in Colquitt County. North defeated Colquitt 16-14 in the Georgia Dome to start the season. Lovejoy lost 14-7 in Moultrie. North is lead by Michael Haynes, who has 635 yards rushing and Cam Lewis, who has 552 yards on the ground. Haynes has passed for 2,112 yards and 26 touchdowns. Lovejoy running back Travis Custis has 1,629 yards and 28 touchdowns.
