JONESBORO — A Mundy Mill high school student is recuperating in an Atlanta hospital after he was hit by car.
The 14-year-old youngster was struck by a vehicle while trying to catch a school bus, around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Kendrick Road and Bowen Court, according to Clayton County Police officer Phong Nguyen.
A witness told police that she saw the student running.
“The juvenile was running through stopped cars to catch the school bus, when he was hit,” Nguyen said.
According to Mundy Mill High School officials, the student is in stable condition at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston hospital.
