Robbie Livingstone Balis, 47, of Locust Grove, lost his battle to lung cancer on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012. He died peacefully at his home, surrounded by family and friends. Rob was a member of the Atlanta Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 72 for 21 years. Rob was born July 29, 1965, to Earl L. and Shirley T. (Casey) Balis of Ravenswood, W.Va. He was 47 years old when he went to be with God, his mother Shirley, brother Mark and other family and friends that have already crossed over to Paradise. Rob left behind a beautiful wife of 21 years, Celia (Carrol) Balis and three amazing kids, Tyler, 20, Brock, 15, and Madison, 13, all of Locust Grove. Celia is the daughter of William Carroll, Jr., of Loganville, and Delle (Maxwell) Carroll, of Stockbridge. Rob has two sisters, Debra (Balis) Hazlett and Stacey (Balis) Call, of Point Pleasant, W.Va., and a brother, Earl L. Balis, II, also of Ravenswood.
