Domestic calls lead to four-hour police standoff

Suspect threatened to ‘shoot anyone who came inside’ apartment, authorities said.

A four-hour standoff at the Willow Way Apartments complex ended Saturday morning with a 35-year old College Park man facing false imprisonment, cruelty to children and family violence battery charges, according to Clayton County police.

Riverdale to celebrate seafood, beer

RIVERDALE — The city of Riverdale will partner Saturday with Kiss 104.1 FM to host the town’s annual Seafood & Beer Festival. The event will run from noon until 11 p.m., at the Amphitheater at Riverdale Town Center, located at 7200 Church Street, Riverdale. It will feature live music, beer stations and something for the entire family. National recording artists Klymaxx and Noel Gourdin are among performers.
