JONESBORO — Two firefighters were injured while battling an early morning house fire Wednesday.
Clayton County Fire Captain Walter Barber said firefighters responded to the blaze at 1702 Hillview Ave., in Jonesboro, around 4:30 a.m.
Investigators were on the scene working to determine the cause of the fire. However, the fire captain said investigators have not determined the cause of the house fire.
Barber described the firefighters injuries as “minor.”
“The two injured firefighters were treated for burns to their lower arms and released from the hospital earlier today,” Barber said. “Both are well and expect a full recovery.”
