FRIDAY NIGHT STARS

Several football players in the Southern Crescent had standout performances for their teams. Here is a list of some of the top performances from last week’s games:

Mario Atkinson, Jonesboro: The junior quarterback completed 14 of 22 passes for 213 yards and a touchdown in a loss to Griffin. He also had a rushing touchdown in the game.

Alejandro Bennifield, Lovejoy: The senior quarterback passed for 272 yards and two touchdowns in the Wildcats’ win over Alpharetta at Twelve Oaks Stadium.

Davis Carrandi, ELCA: The junior wide receiver had five receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown in the top-ranked Chargers win over Hapeville Charter.

Ti’Keem Cooper, Riverdale: The senior rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries in a win over Grady. He also had a 92-yard kickoff return for a score.

Travis Custis, Lovejoy: The senior running back rushed for 158 yards on 38 carries to help the Wildcats defeat Alpharetta at Twelve Oaks Stadium. He also scored three touchdowns in the win, in addition to averaging 4.1 yards per carry.

Dalton Etheridge, ELCA: The junior quarterback accounted for seven touchdowns in the top-ranked Chargers win at Hapeville Charter. He had four passing and three rushing touchdowns in the non-region win. For the game, he amassed 303 yards of total offense, 128 of them rushing on 13 carries.

Ben Kittler, Drew: The senior linebacker led the team with 12 tackles in a win over Rockdale County in a non-region game at Southern Crescent Stadium. He also had a forced fumble and an interception.

Kamhad Magwood, Riverdale: The senior running back rushed for 75 yards on nine carries in a win over then-ranked Grady.

Patrick Petty, Jonesboro: The senior running back had 13 carries for 70 yards and three touchdowns. He also had three receptions for 25 yards in the subregion game.

JuMichael Ramos, Lovejoy: The senior wide receiver had seven receptions for 149 yards in a win over Alpharetta.

Cameron Sutton, Jonesboro: The senior wide receiver/defensive back had five catches for 91 yards and a touchdown in the Cardinals’ subregion loss at Griffin. He also had seven carries for 52 yards. On defense, he had an interception.

Marquis Terry, Drew: The sophomore running back returned two kicks for touchdowns in the Titans win over Rockdale County — its first win of the season.
