JONESBORO Convicted cop killer Veasna Johnathan Bun will serve at least two concurrent life sentences in prison after he pled guilty Friday to a June 2011 armed robbery in Riverdale, according to the prosecutor for the case.
Bun was convicted in May of killing Clayton County Sheriff’s Deputy Rick Daly and sentenced to life without parole plus 70 years. He was facing the prospect of trials for two separate robberies next week. One was the January 2011 robbery of the Los Amigos Gift Shop in Forest Park, and the other was the June 2011 robbery of the Illusions Hair Studio in Riverdale.
“He pled guilty on the robbery of the beauty shop in Riverdale,” said Chief Assistant District Attorney Erman Tanjuatco. “The charges he pled guilty to were four counts of armed robbery and one count of aggravated assault with the intent to rob ... He was sentenced to life, to be served concurrently with the life sentence he received for Deputy Daly’s murder.”
Bun will now go to trial in Clayton County Superior Court Monday for the Los Amigos robbery. That is the robbery which ultimately led to Daly’s death. Daly was trying to arrest Bun for the Los Amigos robbery, during a July 2011 traffic stop in Riverdale, when the teenager shot and killed the deputy.
Tanjuatco said prosecutors will seek yet another life sentence for the Los Amigos robbery, to be served consecutively with the two life sentences for which he has already been sentenced.

.....Just imagine this; Bun was walking among law abiding citizens before he killed Deputy Daley.
