CLAYTON LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Sept. 21

Sorry State of the Nation

Dear Editor:

 We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness…

That is from the Declaration of Independence of the United States for those that are graduates of a government school in the last 20 years. 

I am not a Constitutional Scholar but I can read, it said The Pursuit of Happiness, if you got sense enough to read a dictionary look up pursuit and in general it means to go after, to seek, so you are given the right by your Creator to go after happiness not for your happiness to be given to you by the guvment.  Please notice who or where you get the right from—your Creator which is the God which created the world.  For the last two generations the guvment schools, the teachers union, the ACLU have done every thing possible to remove any and all mentions of God in schools.  The rate of all violent crimes have gone up and up during this times.  A person cannot watch cable television without seeing sex and violence as a matter of course, and the language is horrible.

The president has signed executive orders that give control of every aspect of your life to some unelected bureaucrats from transportation to food. 

Over 200 years ago 56 men signed the Declaration and most of them lost everything, families, business and some their lives and the greatest nation to ever exist was created.  Today our nation’s leaders are corrupted by power and money.  Every elected official at federal and state should be replaced at least every six years.  They have managed to get rich in that length of time.  It sure would not hurt to look at city and county levels also.

Political correctness and diversity are destroying this nation.  Why do government documents have to be printed in any language except English?  Why don’t immigrants become part of the United States,  E PLURIBUS UNIUM, (Out of many, one) is the motto of the United States.  We don’t need people that do not support this country here.  If they want their home country language and customs they need to either go back to or stay in their home country.

Today an employer cannot hire the best qualified but must take into consideration sex, age, race, sexual orientation, physical capability and on and on. 

Now they want to give every high school student a college education.   Most high school graduate cannot do college level work now.  Now about 40 percent of college graduates cannot find jobs in their education study field. 

If everybody goes to college who is going to fix the car, heating/air condition, paint the house, fight the fires, police the streets?  Folks need to start looking at tech schools.
