Anthony Joe (Tony) Terrell
Anthony Joe (Tony) Terrell died in his home in Lake City on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012. Tony was preceded in death by his father, Haeston Terrell, and his brother, Garry Terrell. He is survived by his mother, Myra Terrell, daughter, Jennifer Terrell, and his brother, Randall Terrell, his wife, Michelle, and their four children.
A devoted craftsman at Jim’s Piano Shop formerly in Atlanta, Tony worked for over 30 years as a piano tuner, re-builder and technician servicing the south side of Atlanta. Tony grew up a horn player, but was a self-taught bass player for the last 30 years. In recent years, he played trombone and bass with the Clayton State Big Band and Jazz Combo. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. at the Stockbridge Community Center.
