Wilson Eugene Miller, 92, of Fayetteville, passed away March 29, 2013. He was born March 8, 1921, in Rhea County, Tenn., being the youngest of nine brothers and sisters. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a WW II veteran who earned five Bronze Stars and a Victory Medal. Wilson was also the owner/operator for 50 years of the Miller Alternator & Battery Company and Miller Auto Parts in Riverdale. A member of Lakewood Masonic Lodge #443 and a deacon at Antioch Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia Jo Miller; granddaughter, Karen Ann Drennan Gober; great-granddaughter Madison Sharon Gober and son-in-law Ramond Sagon. He is survived by his daughters Carol & Henry Drennan of Williamson, Ga., Gail & Dennis Casey of Fayetteville, Sharon Miller Sagon of Hampton, Lynn Miller Eubanks of McDonough and Denise Miller & Mark Jones of Dora, Ala; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren with one on the way; numerous nieces and nephews and beloved dogs, Tiny and Sparky Miller.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, April 2, at 1 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church. Mr. Miller will lie in state from noon until 1 p.m. prior to the service. Pastor Randolph Shaylor, Rev. Joe Arthur, Rev. Jody Shaw, Dr. E.C. Chatham and Rev. L.E. Spivey will officiate. The burial will follow at Camp Memorial, Fayetteville. The family received friends Monday from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. at Carl J. Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
