RIVERDALE It’s spring and while the flowers are showing signs of life as they blossom in a symphony of color, Southern Regional Medical Center officials want residents to check for signs of healthy living.
The hospital is inviting residents to get their health checked during its seventh annual Spring Into Healthy Living Health Expo Saturday at the Morrow Center at 1180 Southlake Circle Suite 100. The free event will include health screenings, cholesterol and glucose check-ups and a question and answer opportunity with physicians.
It will last from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and is sponsored by the Morrow Center, Southern Crescent Hospital for Specialty Care, Peachtree Vascular Specialists P.C. and Chick-fil-A.
The event raises money for the Southern Regional Medical Center Foundation through sponsorships, exhibitor fees and raffle ticket sales. Last year’s health expo raised $12,000 for the foundation, according to a statement from hospital officials.
Attendees are asked to register in advance at www.southernregional.org/foundation/.
