Louise Cobb Glover, age 82, died Monday, April 15, 2013. She was born in McDuffie County, on September 23, 1930. Louise was the oldest child of the late Willie and Lizzie Cobb. She was also preceded in death by three brothers. She was a resident of McDonough and the wife of John G. Glover. Louise was a longtime resident of Morrow, and she worked for Clayton County School System for many years. She was a homemaker active in the P.T.A. and the Jr. Womens’ Club of Morrow. Louise was one of the founding members of St. Phillip Benizi Catholic Church in Jonesboro and a member of St. James the Apostle Catholic Church in McDonough. She is survived by her husband of 63 years: John Glover; four children: Gary (Jenny) Glover, Richmond, VA; Jeannie (Don) Allen, Alpharetta; Phillip Glover, Memphis, TN; Renee (Butch) D'Elia, McDonough; five sisters: Annette (Jack) Kennedy; Connie Shiver; Elaine (Mike) Henry all of Augusta; Willie Mae Allen; Jane (Wesley) Prevette, both of Thomson; three grandsons: Matthew Allen, Scott (Michelle) Allen, Travis D'Elia; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church on Thursday, April 18, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 17, from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
