JONESBORO — Six people were indicted this week in the August shooting death of a man police say was set up by prostitutes to be robbed inside a Forest Park motel.
Quandala Nicole Kilgore, Sierra Samone Gilliam, Larry Eugene Lupoe, Kyshawn Williams, Jacoby Sean Carter and Parris Lavajie Stready face multiple counts of murder, gang participation and other felonies in the death of Tavares Moses.
Moses, 31, was shot inside a room at Home Lodge on Old Dixie Road Aug. 2 and died four days later at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. Police allege the male suspects were part of the Pittsburgh Jack City Boys gang.
Police said Moses was lured to his death by prostitutes who knew he had money.
In a warrant issued to Forest Park police Detective Jessica Raley, Kilgore is accused of texting Moses a proposition for her and two women to have sex with him and two men for $100. Raley said Kilgore and the women went to the lodge Aug. 2 about 3 a.m.
Witness Deandre Miller reportedly told police that he opened the door to find the three women and three unknown masked men. Miller allegedly told police the three men demanded money and went through his pockets and the pockets of the other occupants of the room — Moses, Jumario Booker and Carlos Wilson.
The warrant alleges that one of the masked men began firing his weapon, at least four times, and hit Moses twice in the chest. The six alleged intruders fled the area in a vehicle, according to the warrant.
