Scheduling conflict delays Jonesboro audit presentation

JONESBORO — Residents of Jonesboro will have to wait a little bit longer to find out the results of the city’s annual audit.

Their leaders will have to wait a little longer, too.

The audit presentation was postponed Monday because representatives of the accounting firm, Fulton & Kozak CPAs, had a scheduling conflict and could not attend the meeting, said Mayor Joy Day.

“The audit is complete, they just couldn’t make it [Monday] night,” said Day.

It was unclear Tuesday whether the auditors would be able to attend next week’s council meeting, or if their presentation will be postponed until next month.
