Mr. C.F. Roberts
Mr. C. F. Roberts, age 82, of Jonesboro, passed away, Dec. 5, 2013. He retired from Clayton County as a Zoning Inspector. He also owned Roberts TV Sales and Repair. Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife, Amanda; children and spouses, Ginny Roberts (David) Ray of Lithia Springs, Ben Thomas (Molly) Roberts of Dacula; sister, Velma Sack of Pa.; grandchildren, Sarah Roberts, Kathleen Ray, Conor Ray and Hogan Roberts.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, at First Christian Church of Jonesboro. Pastor Wade Hall officiated. Interment was at Jonesboro City Cemetery. Roberta Sue White
Roberta Sue White of Morrow, beloved wife, mother and grandmother died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 in her sleep after a short illness. Sue was born to the late Warren and Mildred Divers on Dec. 17, 1938 in Ravenswood, W.Va. Sue is survived by a brother James Divers of Ravenswood. She was preceded in death by a brother William Divers and a sister Barbara Barnhart. Sue graduated from Ravenswood High School in 1956 and from West Liberty State College, near Wheeling W.Va., as a dental hygienist in 1958. Sue married Robert G. White in 1959 and lived in Dayton, Ohio, and Washington, D.C. before moving to Morrow in 1966. Sue is survived by her husband Bob and four children: Warren Douglas White (Leslie) of Stone Mountain, Bryan Howard White (Blayne) of Cumming, Robert Michael White (Lori) of Loganville and Cynthia Ann Merluzzi (Michael) of Tampa, Fla. Sue is also survived by nine grandchildren: Samantha, Trevor (son Warren), Alyxandra, Tristan (son Bryan), Elizabeth, Noah, Seth (son Robert), Daniel, Patrick (daughter Cynthia). Raising three sons and a daughter and attending a multitude of sporting events over the years, Sue became an unofficial expert of all things sports, particularly college football and basketball and followed the Georgia Tech football and basketball teams. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of choice in her name. The Memorial Service for Sue will be private. SouthCare Cremation and Funeral Society, 770-692-1181.
