Jonesboro launching community market

— Bring out your wares. Bring out your wares.

The City of Jonesboro is planning to soon begin offering “Market Days” twice a week at the Jonesboro Fire House Museum and Community, located at 103 West Mill Street.

Starting March 5, Jonesboro residents will be allowed to rent tables at the community center for $5 each on Tuesdays and Thursdays so they can sell their products to their neighbors. The market’s hours will be noon until 5 p.m.

The new city market was announced in the city’s newsletter, which was mailed to residents this week. Citizens interested in participating in “Market Days” will be asked to sign a release with the city.

It is one of two new programs slated to begin at the community center next month. The city will also begin offering movie nights every Tuesday of the month except the first Tuesday.

The movie nights will begin March 12.
