RIVERDALE — The Parental Involvement department at Drew High School will host a Black History and Heritage Celebration that will feature the play titled “From Slavery to the White House: A Historical Journey.”
The play begins at 6 p.m. Thursday in the gymnasium, 6237 Garden Walk Blvd. in Riverdale.
A workshop on “Ways Busy Parents Can Help Children Succeed in School” will be held in the main commons afterward. Parent liaison Shondra Echols will be the presenter.
A Soul Food Potluck Dinner will also be served. Guests are asked to bring a dish. To participate in the dinner, contact Echols at 770-472-2808.
