Clune leads Dutchtown against Locust Grove

Dominique Clune 21 scored a game-high 21 points to lead Dutchtown to the Region 4-AAAA, Div. A win at home.

Locust Grove was led by forward Taylor Delasbour’s 15 points while Sabiyah Broderick added 14 points.

Carver-Columbus 50, Henry County 49: Kiana Coleman had 15 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Lady Hawks lost at home.

Henry County (6-5) had a two-point lead with 20 seconds remaining, but had a turnover to give Carver the ball.

The Lady Hawks had a chance at the win, but couldn’t get a shot off in the final eight seconds.

Drew 58, Union Grove 35: Lakiah Sims had a game-high 20 points to lead the Lady Titans to the win.

The Lady Titans improved to 8-4 overall and 6-1 in Region 4-AAAAA, Div. A. Danielle Sims added 13 points for Drew, which was playing its first game since Dec. 14.

Union Grove was led by Deona Williams, who had 10 points. The Lady Wolverines dropped to 7-9 and 2-4.

Union Grove will host Mundy’s Mill on Friday as Drew travels to Ola.

Forest Park 59, Ola 6: Tiffany Wilson scored 16 points to lead two other players in double figures as the Lady Panthers coasted to a win.

Breasia McElrath had 14 points and Shakira Thomas finished with 12 as the Forest Park improved to 9-6 overall heading into Friday’s home game against Mount Zion.

Kayla Potts finished with nine points and five assists in her first game since the 2011 season. The junior sustained a knee injury during the 2011 season which sidelined her all of last season.

Jonesboro 64, Spalding 35: Michelle Smith had a game-high 27 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Lady Cardinals to the road win.

Jonesboro (10-4) also got 11 points from Victoria Florence.

Grenishia Daniel had nine points to lead Spalding.

Luella 60, Morrow 41: Carrington Johnson scored 16 points and Briana Moore added 10 to help the Lady Lions secure the Region 2-AAAAAA victory at home.

Dinna Thomas finished with eight points for Luella, which is now 8-6 overall and 2-2 in the region.

Mundy’s Mill 50, Mount Zion 42: Moneshia Dyer and Kelsee Arnold scored 13 points each to lead the Lady Tigers to the Region 4-AAAAA, Div. A win on the road.

Mundy’s Mill travels to Union Grove on Friday in another subregion contest.
