JONESBORO — Clayton County police said they've discovered evidence inside a Jonesboro home that links it to three bodies found inside a car abandoned in Union City.
Sgt. Kevin Hughes said Union City police asked for the department's help Monday in investigating the early Sunday morning discovery of the bodies of two men and a woman, all from Montgomery, Ala. The woman was found inside the trunk and the men were in the backseat of the car, which was parked on an exit ramp of I-85 near Flat Shoals Road.
Hughes said evidence was found inside a home in the 8000 block of Magnolia Drive.
"Evidence discovered there potentially supports the crime," he said.
He said the investigative files have been turned over to Clayton County police Major Felony Unit to continue the criminal investigation.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office identified the three as Cheryl Colquitt-Thompson, 33, Quinones King, 33, and Rodney Cottrell, 43.
