Mrs. Ola Mae Dover

Mrs. Ola Mae Avery Dover, 72, of Jonesboro, passed away Jan. 18, 2013, at Sacred Journey Hospice in McDonough. Mrs. Dover owned and operated 1- hour Glamorizing Cleaners in Fayetteville for many years, was an Avon representative and also worked for Target in Jonesboro. She was a member of The Women of the Moose for over 25 years. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her wonderful cakes and biscuits. She was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe Avery and Ola V. Washington Avery.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Carl J. Dover; son: Allen Dover and wife Shirley Anderson-Dover of Clarksville, Tenn.; brother and sister-in-law: Bill and Jackie Avery of Daphne, Ala.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Jim Barnett, of Warm Springs, Brinness and Gary Kennedy, of McDonough; mother, Annie Mae Avery, of Atlanta; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, Jan. 21, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow in Moody Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Sunday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Moose Heart/Moose Haven, 155 S International Drive, Mooseheart, Ill. 60539, Crossroads Hospice, 1957 Lakeside Pkwy., #500, Tucker, Ga. 30084 or Sacred Journey Hospice, 138 Peach Drive, McDonough, Ga. 30253 in memory of Mrs. Dover.
