Eagle’s Landing guard Isaiah Dennis looks to score two of his 24 points on a layup in a 109-90 win over Dutchtown on Tuesday.
The points came fast and furious at Eagle’s Landing, but no one was scoring like Golden Eagles senior Eric Wortham.
Wortham scored a career-high 41 points in Eagle’s Landing’s 109-90 victory against Dutchtown in a Region 4-AAAA, Div. A game Tuesday.
Isaiah Dennis scored 24 points and Desmond Ringer added 14 as the Golden Eagles (17-5) eclipsed the 100-point mark for the second time in their past three games.
It was Eagle’s Landing’s eighth-straight victory and 11th in their past 12 games.
Donovahn Jones led Dutchtown (9-12) with 30 points, while Aundre Reid had 22 points and Kalvin Hobbs added 21.

The win avenged a 59-47 loss to Newton on Jan. 4 and gave the Lady Lions a strong win against the second place team in the region.
Pike County 40, Henry County 39: The Lady Hawks couldn’t execute on their final possession and lost another one-point Region 2-AAA game.
Peach County converted a three-point play with 18 seconds left in the game to take the lead, but Henry County (12-8, 6-4) couldn’t get a shot off in the time left.
Kiana Coleman led the Lady Hawks with 12 points, while Devon Lewis added 10 points.
The loss eliminated any chance of Henry County getting the No. 1 seed in its sub-region.
Woodland 60, Locust Grove 31: The Lady Wolfpack extended their winning streak to 21 games and cruised to a Region 4-AAAA, Div. A victory at home.
Morgan Jones led Woodland (22-1) with 17 points.
