JONESBORO — Proposed revisions to the Babies Can’t Wait program policy are available for public comment and review, according to state officials.
The program is an early intervention system for special needs infants and toddlers up to 3. It is administered statewide primarily by the Georgia Department of Public Health.
The Clayton County Board of Health is the local agency charged with administering the program in Clayton.
Officials said the state agency, as required under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, has published its Part C Babies Can’t Wait application to give the public an opportunity to review and comment on the application and policy.
The revised policy can be reviewed online at http://health.state.ga.us. It is also available at any branch of the Clayton County Public Library System during normal business hours until July 29. For library branch hours and addresses, visit www.claytonpl.org.
Residents can submit written comments to Babies Can’t Wait, 2 Peachtree St. NW, Suite 11-222, Atlanta, Ga. 30303-13422. Comments also can be faxed to 404-657-2763 or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
