LOVEJOY — The city of Lovejoy plans to host its next jobs fair July 18.
It will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Lovejoy Community Center, 11622 Hastings Bridge Road.
Mayor Bobby Cartwright said the quarterly fairs cost the city about $300 each for paper supplies and snacks.
He said the last event in April turned out 15 area employers and dozens more job seekers.
“I’m happy with the success,” he said at the time. “I’m so proud of my staff. They worked really hard on this. And if one person gets a job every penny is worth it.”
The fair is free and open to candidates of all ages and experience levels. Industries are also encouraged to attend this month’s event, which will include an interview workshop that starts at 9 a.m.
Organizers said business attire is required. Potential applicants are asked to bring multiple copies of their resume for employers and “on-the-spot” interviews.
