Mr. Albert Norman Cody, 79, of Hampton, Ga., passed away July 12, 2013. He was born in Atlanta to the late Albert Amos and Blanche Davis Cody.
He retired after 20 years with the U.S. Coast Guard. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed his grandson’s activities. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Fay Cody of Hampton; children Priscilla (Mark) McCammon of Locust Grove, Norma Snell of Conyers, Christopher (Jennifer) Cody of North Carolina and Dena (Ali) Ozkan of Conyers; grandchildren Tyler McCammon, April Ivie, Ryan Cody, David Cody, Cazimara Ozkan and Naomi Cody; great-granddaughter Amber Ivie; and brother Butch (Dianne) Cody of Hampton.
Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, July 20, at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Rev. Daniel Bradberry will officiate. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the service. Contributions are asked to be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Cody.
