Dorothy May Pfeifle, 93, of Stockbridge, Ga., died of natural causes Friday, May 17, 2013. Dorothy was born Sept. 25, 1919, in Fowlerville to George A. and Laura V. (Politt) Peckens. She was a 1937 graduate of Fowlerville High School and was best known as a devoted homemaker, mother and grandmother. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence J. Pajot; her son, Dennis Pajot, and her husband, Jack Q. Pfeifle. Dorothy is survived by her children, Marilyn (Pajot) Robinson of Stockbridge, Jean (Pajot) Forrester of Rochester Hills, Keith Pfeifle of Perryville, Md., Daniel Pfeifle of Mentor, Ohio, Suzy (Susan Pfeifle) Brostrand of Perryville, Md., and Elizabeth (Pfeifle) Carpenter of Greer, S.C. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Julia Roy and four brothers, Wilmont Peckens, Earl Peckens, Lyle Peckens and Harold Peckens. Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at Niblack Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Tarpley Sr. officiating.

Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. The family received friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, May 31, at the funeral home.
