Bobby Dean Bray, formerly part owner and employee of Smith Hardware in Forest Park for more than 50 years, passed away June 5, 2013. A service will be held at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors Saturday, June 8, at 3 p.m. Dr. Rick Long to officiate. Interment to follow at Jones Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Mr. Bray was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Beverly Bray, and his son, Todd Bray. Survivors include his daughters, Debbie Bray of Jonesboro, Cindy Woodham (Sid) of Brooks and Linda Thompson of McDonough; son Tony Bray (Christi) of Tyrone; sister Annette Chambers (Benny) of Stockbridge; brothers Joe Bray (Ruth) of Fayetteville, Charles Bray (Marion) of Villa Rica and Jack Bray (Martha) of Elijay; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
