FOREST PARK — The Housing Authority of Clayton County Board of Commissioners voted 3-1 to name former County Manager Wade Starr as the authority's interim executive director Thursday night.
Starr survived a last minute challenge from county HUD administrator Mickie Williams, who also decided to seek the interim job.
Starr replaces outgoing Executive Director Linda Valentine, who will step down Friday. He will be paid $57,500 per year to serve as the interim director.
