COLLEGE PARK — The co-owner of a trucking company was kidnapped and severely beaten in an armed robbery, said police.

Clayton County police arrested and charged two Riverdale roommates in the alleged incident. Warrants indicate police are looking for at least three others.

David Mason Starks, 29, and Frederick Todd "Rick" Anderson, 24, both of the same King Road address were arrested Friday. They are being held without bond in the Clayton County Jail on charges of kidnapping, armed robbery, aggravated assault, hijacking a motor vehicle and aggravated battery.

Police said Starks admitted to his involvement and implicated Anderson. Anderson asked for an attorney and has not spoken to police, according to court records. Police said three other men are possibly involved in the alleged incident but they were not identified.

Police said the men went to J&D Trucking at 560 Atlanta South Parkway in College Park about 4 a.m. March 11. They allegedly attacked co-owner Paul Moser, 68, and robbed him at gunpoint before beating him in the face and head.

Police said Moser suffered severe injuries including multiple facial fractures that will require reconstructive surgery to repair and to restore vision in his left eye.

Moser allegedly told police five men confronted him at his business, took his wallet to get his ATM card and was demanding $5,000 when police arrived. Before police entered the building to discover the men, Moser said he was forced into Stark's red 2005 Buick Rendezvous and taken to an ATM machine.

Court records show that officers were unaware of the confrontation.

At some point during the morning, police said the men took Moser to a home on Roxbury Drive in Riverdale where he was found. He was transported to an Atlanta hospital for treatment.

Police said bank records show someone tried to access Moser's account at a Chevron on Ga. 85 in Riverdale. Store surveillance cameras caught the Buick with Stark's tag number being backed into a handicapped parking spot and a man wearing a black hoodie with a white emblem exiting and walking inside to the ATM. Police said the man is at least 6 feet 3 inches tall — Starks is 6 feet 4 inches.

Police said Starks was wearing a similar hoodie and had Moser's BP ATM card in his pocket when he was arrested at the Riverdale apartment complex where he lives.
