Boutique owner unveils spring fashion trends

JONESBORO — When it comes to what’s hot and in style, Adrienne Manuel-Spain is your go- to girl.

She is the owner of Twelve-The Beau Monde Boutique” at 131 North Main St.

She says her display mannequins outside a small store are displaying some of the hottest fashion trends and colors for the spring season.

“I would say some of our clothes are transitional pieces,” said Manuel-Spain.

This year she said it’s all about the bold colors, tube tops and sheer tops, floral prints and spikes, and big earrings.

“This year’s style is very trendy and very sexy,” Manuel-Spain said. “They are not too over the top and anyone can wear.”

The shop targets women, though clothing for men and children will eventually be added, she said. The prices range from $10 to $70.

“Once the season changes, the price ranges are going to go up because of the spring season,” Manuel-Spain said.

The clothes available range from small to plus sizes, she said.

So far Manuel-Spain said she has been selling a lot of spikes and juju bead bracelets that her daughter makes.

“They are very trendy and popular across the board with women and girls,” she said.

The boutique sells a variety of fashionable items such as eco-friendly handbags, as well as accessories, shoes and dresses, she said.

The boutique is open for the general public Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Mondays are by appointment only for designers who want to show their products to sell them at the shop, she said.

Manuel-Spain holds a degree in fashion merchandising from Bauder College in Atlanta. She has worked in the retail industry for 18 years, and served as manager for stores such as OshKosh B’gosh at Tanger Outlet in Locust Grove, and Ashley Stewart at Southlake Mall in Morrow.
