MORROW Morrow High School was locked down for an hour Wednesday while police searched for the second of two burglary suspects, a police spokesman said.
Det. Clarence Cox said a woman called 911 sometime after 10 a.m. to report that she heard someone in her home on Carriage Drive, near the school. When police arrived, they saw two black males exiting the home they appeared to be "carrying items from the home," he added.
Officers chased the suspects, and apprehended one of them. Cox said the school was locked down from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
The second suspect remains at large, Cox said. He added the suspect is described as a young dark-skinned black male, between 5-feet-6 and 5-feet-9 in height, wearing a green shirt and khaki pants. He was last seen this morning near the high school.
Anyone who may know the identity of the suspect is asked to call 911.
