Clayton schools offer free meals to law enforcement

JONESBORO — Clayton County Public Schools Superintendent Luvenia Jackson is inviting all Clayton County law enforcement personnel, along with mayors and city council members to stop by any Clayton County public school to receive free breakfast and lunch meals.

“We want all of our students to know that police officers are their friends and that, while we show respect to them, they are not to be feared,” said Jackson.

School spokesman David Waller said the “Breakfast and Lunch with a Cop” program allows law enforcement officers to receive one free breakfast and one free lunch daily through May 23.

Waller said the program was also designed for law enforcement and government officials to get involved with students in a positive manner.

“The officers, mayors and city council members are encouraged to interact with students, walk the halls, etc.,” he said. “Ms. Jackson hopes that their presence in the schools will help parents and students feel safe as the end of the school year draws near.”

.....My Grandchildren would be thrilled to have lunch with Victor Hill & His Cohorts, The Gang of Two, and these Lopsided Elected Officials in this County. I don't mind my grandchildren having Law Enforcement protection in the schools, but, please don't push the envelope with these county officials.
